History:
Peggy Giggles, commonly know as just Giggles[his true name is unknown] story begins much like a sad tale of millions of kids during the recession. Before he was born, his Dad lost his minimum-wage job as a bank security guard and the family fell in to poverty. Unable to cope with the strain and stress of attempting to feed his pregnant wife, after countless job rejections, he turned to the yakuza for financial security and they accepted, for a price.
His father’s intimate knowledge of banks was a great help to the criminals, helping them to dodge cameras and rob banks efficiently, however in addition to his services his wife was forced into working as a escourt to the boss, a prized beauty as their was high demand for pregnant hookers, especially in the international market.
Their financial circumstances had improved, however it was a high price to pay.
Prostitution and substances go hand in hand in the underground of Japan’s crime ring. It wasn’t long into this contract and Giggles’s mother was hooked on various drugs, her choice substance was Cocaine. Oblivious, or just not caring about the effects and dangers of using while pregnant, both on herself and the foetus inside her.
Giggles was born twenty seven weeks premature, weighing just two pounds after his mother suffered placental abruption and haemorrhaged. Luckily both mother and child survived after extensive hospital treatment.

Several years later, a neighbour complained of a hideous smell coming from the next apartment and told the police that on occasion she had heard the sound of a child sobbing. Upon the police braking through the unanswered door investigating the apartment, they were greeted by the foul stench of rotting flesh and other things. Giggles, aged four was found clutching a bizarre china doll, sat in a pool of dried blood and surrounded by the corpses of his parents. The cause of death was unidentified and they were deemed suicides.
Giggles, having no other relations grew up in an orphanage in Kyoto. He didn’t begin to speak until he was five after the owners provided speech therapy for fear he was deft
He was a quite, introverted child the majority of the time and kept to himself, refusing and seeming unable to socialise with others, claiming he had the only friend he needed, his doll.
There was another side to the child; he would begin to talk rapidly, screaming and would often get into fights with the other orphans and occasionally staff, turning violent and malicious, refusing to answer unless called Requiem. This change seemed to occur randomly and without provocation. He was also often found talking to thin air, in his bunk surrounded by toys he had stolen, telling the other kids that they were bad owners and their toys didn’t want them.

This doll, the one the police had found Giggles with was attached to the boy’s hip, taken with him everywhere and it was later found out when Giggles was asked where it had come from, that it had been a gift from his ‘uncle’[the yakuza boss]and is also named Requiem. It’s frightening appearance scared the other kids and once when a member of staff had tried to coax it from Giggles with promises of a new prettier one, he had turned briefly violent lashing out before hyperventilating and curling up, having what doctors called a panic attack.
Years went by and once Giggles had hit puberty he began asking to have a dress like the other girls instead of trousers and a shirt regardless of his gender. The staff overlooked the teen’s unusual request as nothing more than attention seeking, but regretted it when a few years later Giggles striped a girl of her clothes in the middle of mass demanding it looked better on him and ran out of the church.
It wasn’t long after this that a fellow orphan, a popular bully and brother of the girl, decided to seek revenge. One day the boy cornered Giggles in a hallway before breakfast and proceeded to beat him up. When the boy grabbed Requiem from the battered teen intending to smash he object, Giggles instantly lashed out jumping on the other like a feral animal. The pair crashed down a flight of stairs in their struggle and once at the bottom a crack rang out and the bully went limp, his neck broken. Surprisingly the china doll was unscathed and was back in Giggles’s arms.

The orphanage, unable to cope with Giggles any longer for fear he was highly dangerous, decided the best action was to admit him.
